Our rules
- Estimates, never guarantees. Savings and payback figures are labelled as estimates and carry the assumptions behind them.
- Primary sources. Grant amounts and scheme rules are checked against GOV.UK and scheme administrators, with publication-date stamps on every guide.
- Updates on change. When a scheme changes — like the Boiler Upgrade Scheme rising to £9,000 in July 2026 — our pages update, and we say when.
- Plain English. Jargon gets a glossary link, not an assumption you already know it.
- Independence. Commercial relationships never influence editorial content — see how we make money.
