How it differed from ECO4

GBIS funded one measure at a time (typically cavity wall or loft insulation) with wider eligibility than ECO4, including many households not on benefits.

Current alternative

The Warm Homes: Local Grant has replaced both schemes for eligible households; insulation also carries 0% VAT until March 2027 when professionally installed.
